Do they count as chicks?

  • kenwynd by kenwynd

There appear to be a number (about 5?) of gray fuzzy penguins lying on the ground near standing adult penguins. While I can't see any of their heads or faces, I assume these are large young penguins with their baby fuzz still. Is that correct? And would they still count as chicks, given how large they are? Thank you!!

    Hi,

The background ones are Adelies - their chicks grow fast so they're bigger than the foreground Gentoo chicks (which are almost hidden under their parents). Please, mark them as chicks as long as they don't have the signs of maturity. The signs for each species are written in THIS THREAD. Mark only the chicks/eggs you can really see.

    Thanks.
