Can anyone give some extra ideas towards Andrey's question please?

It appears to me that it is recently fractured off the larger rocks above and rolled down. Of course 'recent' in Antarctic times can be awhile.

the face of that rock looks very clean. It might be fresh (newly fractured rock) and so not oxidised in any

way (no lichen etc) There are a few other rocks just right and above centre that look similar in colour. 😃
