Identifying subadults

  • LouisaEvers by LouisaEvers

Along with the pictures of chicks would it be possible to add pictures of subadults or else provide some instruction on how we should treat birds that do not appear to have either adult or typical chick plumage?

Hi LouisaEvers , excellent request. We have loads of such photos as well as additional chick photos, already selected. We'll have to wait until the developers have time to add them if it is to happen.

The FAQs are already quite clear on your second point. Mark as adult unless the bird shows juvenile indicators and mark as adult when you're not sure. FAQs: http://talk.penguinwatch.org/#/boards/BPZ0000007

I'm also gradually adding a variety of supplemental images to my collection called, "Hints for New Penguin Counters" http://talk.penguinwatch.org/#/collections/CPZS0001b3 , and as always, please do ask us when you have a question.

    Hi @gardenmaeve

Thanks for taking care about this 😃 l've just noticed your links is wrong: it takes to the general profile page, not to the image collection you've mentioned ,nor to specificaly your profile page.
