Penguin Watch Talk

adults or juvenile?

  • AnikaBorn by AnikaBorn

There are many nearly adult-penguines in the picture. To mark every penguin I used the "adult"-tag. I only used the "juvenile" one if I thought I am sure, that there is a young one, loosing its baby-feathers.

    Well done AnikaBorn. Excellent choice!

We do always ask that you chose 'adult' if you are not sure. We do have some very good (and quick to read) Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) pages. They are here: http://talk.penguinwatch.org/#/boards/BPZ0000007

Our special FAQ to help tell chicks and adults apart is here: http://talk.penguinwatch.org/#/boards/BPZ0000007/discussions/DPZ0000ac2 These are Adelie penguins.

You can just see that a few with cream/white bellies still have a white area under their beak (and no black under the beak) and they are still chicks. Fell very welcome to check with us at any time. I hope you enjoy counting the penguins 😄
