  Does this picture have a gentoo penguin in the front and adelie penguins behind? Do they live in the same area?

  Hi,

  Well spotted! Yes, we have got some mixed colonies on the monitored sites and this is one of them. There are actually much more Gentoos which are mostly nesting behind the camera. The Gentoo guys are being taken by another camera. They usually don't build their nests among guys of a different species although their nests stay close to each other.

  Please, mark all animals you see, no matter what species. So the Adult mark would be used for both Adelies and Gentoos.
