They are very cute aren't they almschff? Some of them are standing up, but the others are so full of food that they have toppled over and are sleeping their lunch off. They've formed a creche for added protection. There will be an adult somewhere near them, but obviously not quite in the right place to get onto the picture 😃

Hi, Babyballerina - When chicks of most species of penguin are this big, both parents must go to sea to catch food to feed their hungry chicks.

While the adults are out fishing the chicks gather together for safety and warmth- we call this group of chicks a "crèche". (FAQs explain this.)

Thank you. I think they might be up to no good! Definitely plotting something while their parents are away.
