not sure what type.

Not sure what type of penguin. Suggestion: if more than 30 birds or 100s why not just have a 30+ button/ 50+/100+ etc

    Hi @anilam

Thanks for your suggestion. The goal of this project is to get as accurate count of adults and chicks and eggs and their predators as possible. We do care what the count is over 30 so the buttons you suggestion wouldn't help much 😦

Why do we ask to mark 30 penguins? It would become boring/annoying/tiring quickly if our volunteers would were asked to count all penguins present in a picture in sites like this. So we decided to let them choose whether to stop after marking the first 30 penguins or to continue marking them all (or just continue marking as long as they enjoy it).

You actually don't have to worry about the penguin species - and there is even no way to tell what type of penguins are present there. The scientists know what species live in individual sites. We only want you to tell whether they are adult or chicks.

We're working on a better Tutorial and Field Guide. Both should be released soon! 😃 Hopefully, it will be clearer then.

Hope you enjoy the project! Thanks for your help 😃

    Cheers, Zuzi
