Two chicks, one adult?

Under the front facing penguin in the bottom left corner of the image, it appears that the adult is sitting on two chicks. Do gentoos ever have multiple chicks, or is this just an optical illusion caused by one lumpy chick?

They usually have two chicks in one nest. But please mark only these you can really see. Thank you.
