ice-free areas

I had not expected, there wer ice-free areas in the Antarctica. But on the photo I've marked last, it is. Is it in consequence of the global warming? Is it dangerous?

As I understand it, many of these cameras are not on the Antarctic continent itself, but on the surrounding islands. I think there are even cameras on the Falklands?
It's totally normal for not everywhere that penguins live to be completely covered with ice, but climate change certainly is a dangerous concern for them and many other species (including ourselves)!
(P.S.: Not a scientist myself, but just how I understand it!)

Yes, these are very likely from the Falklands. The temperatures can increase up to cca 15°C or even more there.

Unfortunately the new camera locations haven't been added there 😕 Not sure whether they're in the same places or somewhere else........ I should check that during this weekend.
