I feel thoroughly fluent in Adelie - that's a very interesting webpage - really enjoyed it. Thanks gardenmaeve 😄

My pleasure. It's the sort of link that would add to volunteers' understanding of what we see in the images we are asked to classify.

Thanks, but these are only very-very short sequences. Does anyone know any relatively lenghty (about tens of minutes) sondtracks from penguin colonies? Or, maybe, even live sound streams?
Would be nice to have it as a soundtrack when marking penguins: it makes you feel like really being in Antarctic… 😃Posted

Videos of various penguin species from the Wildscreen ARKive website have sounds of penguins. Most are less than a minute, but there are some 2-3 minutes. For example:
"Adult Adélie penguins and chicks at the breeding site" is 2:26 minutes
http://www.arkive.org/adelie-penguin/pygoscelis-adeliae/video-12a.html"Gentoo penguins - overview" is 2:38 minutes
http://www.arkive.org/gentoo-penguin/pygoscelis-papua/video-00.html"Magellanic penguin courtship ritual, male competition for mates and breeding territory" is 2:31 minutes
http://www.arkive.org/magellanic-penguin/spheniscus-magellanicus/video-12b.htmlMost of the videos are from the BBC Natural History Unit.
