Please - could anyone confirm what type of seals are on the beach? Thank you .

Hm, I would guess a Southern Elephant Seal, but I'm no expert on those 😦 It's too distant to tell the species.

Well, I am even less of an expert on seals than yshish 😃 - in fact I know next to nothing about seals.... But since there are only six seal species living in Antarctic waters, the seal in the picture is 1. Antarctic Fur Seal OR 2. Crabeater Seal OR 3. Leopard Seal OR 4. Southern Elephant Seal OR 5. Ross Seal OR 6. Weddell Seal, right? 😃 Crabeater and leopard are said to be difficult to find, and Ross are very rarely seen. Weddell is supposed to be the most commonly sighted.

Weddell one was my second guess, by the way, but I'm afraid we cannot make sure which one it is anyhow:)
