    The species is not important. The scientists know which type of penguin lives at each site (sometimes there are shared sites, but we know about those too). So this is just to cure your curiosity, these are (I think - it's a terrible picture) Gentoo penguins. But it's not possible to see the white head flash.

    The picture of an adult and chick penguin that appears under the classification picture is simply for your interest and to show the difference between adult and chick.

    The picture is not good because some horrible Antarctic weather is covering the lens. Those cameras lead a very hard life!
