Twin?

I'm interested to see that many of the penguins here seem to have twins. I didn't think they did this. Or are they caring for the young of another bird? Or perhaps another is just muscling in?

Actually, most types of penguins lay two eggs in a season! Apparently it's so if one is taken by predators the entire season isn't wasted. Here's some shots where you can see some smaller pairs:
