Great for a jigsaw puzzle

  • kimt5342 by kimt5342

This would make a fiendishly good jigsaw puzzle!

Has someone told the scientists - they could market this to fund their research!

It would have to be made of sustainable materials- guano and moulted feathers. 😄 Put it in your compost pile when you tire of putting the 10,000 pieces together!

Can you imagine what the jigsaw puzzle would smell like if it were made of recycled penguin feathers and everything that is likely to be stuck to them? Hmmm... whiffy! 😃 Great idea though...how do we do it?

    1. Entice penguins to deposit raw (very raw) materials in chosen collection area. Trade pebbles as incentive..
    2. Package for bulk shipping to headquarters. Bribe anyone you can convince to do this.
    3. Add carbon-based material as needed. Grind. Mix well with water. (Clothespin on nose.)
    4. Pour onto screens, drain, press, repeat until desired thickness. (Clothespin still on nose.)
    5. Print image using soy inks.
    6. Die-cut penguin shapes and other pieces.
    7. Package, sell, assemble, compost in gardens.

Get me a couple hundred pounds of prime and legal penguin chick down and I'll consider the job. 😄

Shipping could be arranged - by mail from the Penguin Post Office.

That's why its there - to post penguins !

PS - sorry about the lack of moderation recently - no, I think that should be lack of moderating, we always behave with moderation.

I have recently accepted a job in Penguinland and am in the process of trying to get organised to relocate.
(Peng tells me that it is only humans who call it New Zealand, and that all the feathered and furry residents know it as Penguinland).

I always thought that To Do lists were supposed to get shorter as you crossed things off - but this one seems to be getting longer and longer.
I hope things will calm down a bit now and I will be able to get back to penguin watching.

If anyone knows of anyone who wants a house on the tropical north coast of Australia - please let me know, I have one for sale. (You will need to supply your own penguins.)

And Joan - don't worry, I won't be moving until after the competition ends, so I will still be an Australian resident when we win.

I'm very glad to hear it Nicky! Though the New Zealanders didn't warrant a mention in the rules, either in or out(!) Would it be possible to persuade them that, as Oz and NZ share a Queen with the UK that means you're OK?

That's an amazing relocation 😃 Good luck with it 😃 (Sorry - I'm not good in heat+damp, I must be a penguin at heart 😃 )

How did you get a job in New Zealand? 😄 I'd considered moving there for a while for some personal reasons.

Stuff ended up changing to keep me here in Chicago, but I'm still sort of curious!

    Hi DZM
The job was advertised and I applied!! I work in a very specialised field so they had little choice but to recruit from overseas.
Also, there is a mutual recognition agreement between Aust and NZ so it is very easy to move from one to the other.
So between those two things, I avoid most immigration restrictions that might apply to other people.

I know that if you work in certain jobs where there is a shortage of people in NZ, then it may not be too hard to get in (My sister moved there on that basis).
But I don't know much about the restrictions that might apply to other people or in other circumstances.

If your alter ego is a penguin, that probably helps too.
