Black and white birds that are not penguins

Hi science folks, these are Blue eyed cormorants but are not listed in the "other" category.

Hello to you, @TamaraGriffiths . That's correct; the Other category includes factors that may disturb or prey on penguins on land. Cormorants share the space but are fish eaters, so they don't belong in that list. They are a good indicator species however, since their active presence indicates something about whether the fish supply is plentiful enough for both penguins and cormorants in the rookeries. Mark them with the blue Other mark, then click OK (no species).
You have a nice surprise in store, for now you get to read the carefully written FAQ linked in many places on PW. While there, take a close look at FAQ6, where there's a special section dealing with cormorants/shags, seals, etc. not on the Other list.
