  I don't know - but it is definitely not alive as it is still there in a number of before and after pics. See APZ00007n5; APZ00007n1

  Ha - just by chance I came across another pic of this site with no snow and you can see it is just rocks and shadow see APZ00018zg

  It's just a rock shadow, don't mark penguins which can be rocks please. They can be very tricky :]
