    Good sighting! It doesn't match #Kelp #gulls as far as I know. Good chance for some research! @yshish- @DZM- any idea?

    Thank you, AvastMH. I had posted that but edited it because there were no speckles on the back. I do think it is a petrel of some kind.

    I tried looking for pictures to match it, but I couldn't get an idea of size and, as you say, the wings don't look so exciting. Strange one!

    Here's a list of Falkland birds, but I'm too busy to go through.. the #Leucophaeus #pipixcan (Franklin's) seems to be the most similar to me
