  So I've been do this for a few days/realized I should have asked. I'm marking sub adults as chicks. Is this correct to do?

  Great question! When in doubt, it's best to mark as adult. See: FAQ - 3rd AL: Adult or chick / penguin species

  @richperrin Thanks for reporting. We do know about wrongly places shaded zones for this site and the developers are working on fixing it.
