We have no way to know if these individuals are adult or newly moulted chicks. They would both be marked as adults according to FAQs.

When the scientist say they can't be sure, I'm not going to claim more expertise! The head flash is quite developed, so I would still mark that one as adult.

has just become an adult or an older adult which is just in the moulting process. Anyway,we count them all adults once they've got marks of maturity 😉
